It was never my intention to one day write the book of my life.
Yet, this trip through Asia made it necessary.

My eyes have seen, my ears have heard so many extraordinary stories. My camera has captured so many remarkable faces and scenes of life. It seemed imperative to me to share with the world this year full of life lessons and extraordinary human encounters. I want to keep a living trace of the year that changed the course of my life.

In a blend of photography and shared memories, I invite you to join me on my journey across Asia. I will share the most beautiful images of the people who shaped this experience and the sublime landscapes I have crossed. It will be a collection of unforgettable encounters, moving anecdotes, and impromptu adventures. I will speak of difference, resistance, and resilience. I will share my reflections on what unites humanity, on how my worldview has evolved, and how my mind has been enriched by diversity.

This book is for those who wish to better understand others, for the explorer spirits, the passionates of the Middle East, Central Asia, and South Asia, for the curious about the unknown, and for lovers of photography.

I had never written before, and writing is a difficult exercise for me. This process is marked by doubts, lack of self-confidence, loss of inspiration, and “I’ll never make it.”

Yet, now more than ever, I feel the duty to be the voice of a little-known world, of peoples often ignored, of regions where people fear venturing due to ignorance or misunderstanding of those who are different from us.
